Your Privacy is important to us
Your Privacy is Important to Us (Privacy Act 2020 : Updated for 2026)
When we engage with you, we collect personal and business information, including:
  • name
  • contact information
  • location
  • details about your business operations
We collect this information in order to:
  • provide advice and recommendations concerning your Health & Safety requirements
Your information may be collected directly from you or, in some cases, from third parties such as a business representative, referrer, or other authorised person. Where we collect information in this way, we will take reasonable steps to ensure you are aware that the information has been collected, the purpose for doing so, and how it will be used.
Besides our staff, we may share this information with:
  • the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management and other organisations that carry out audits of our business, to ensure our processes meet professional and regulatory standards
  • a suitably qualified locum, contractor, or adviser acting on our behalf (for example, if we are unavailable), to ensure continuity of service. Any such person will be required to comply with the same privacy and confidentiality obligations
Providing some information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide information relevant to your circumstances, we may be unable to provide appropriate advice or services.
We may use secure digital systems and tools to assist in analysing information and preparing recommendations. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected and handled securely at all times.
We keep your information safe by using secure systems, including password protection and controlled access.
We retain your information for as long as we provide services to you. When it is no longer required, we securely destroy it by erasing digital records and shredding any physical documents.
You have the right to request access to any personal or business information we hold about you and to request correction if you believe it is incorrect.
